After 15 years of practice in women’s health, Karen pivoted to the emergency department setting for a number of years prior to opening Phoenix Healthcare Clinic. It was in this setting, after years of watching patients land on the emergency room department, incurring large healthcare bills, the number one cause of bankruptcy for Americans, it became her mission to improve access to healthcare for patients by offering an alternative option for safe, comprehensive, high quality, cost-effective healthcare services. A native of Johnson County, Karen is happily married with three adult children. She enjoys spending time with her family, and supporting KU sporting activities. She also enjoys spending time at the lake and skiing.
